Nass Director wins prestigious Award

Abdulla Ahmed Nass and Sons and Nass Corporation, Director Hemant Joshi was honoured with the prestigious 'CFO of the year 2015' award, at a glittering ceremony held last week in Dubai. Organised by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales (ICAEW), the awards felicitate the very best of the accountancy and finance profession in the Middle East. Shaikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan was the Guest of Honour.

A Jury of 10 eminent finance professionals and business stalwarts from the Middle East, unanimously selected Mr Joshi for the award.

In their citation, they remarked, 'Amongst his various professional achievements, a specific mention needs to be made to Mr. Joshi’s being instrumental in carving out the Nass IPO during 2004; it created history in the corporate world of family businesses, making Nass the first one in the construction industry in the Gulf region, to go into the public domain.'

Mr. Joshi has been working for the Nass Group for the past 20 years and has contributed significantly to the group's ascent during the period. He happens to be the first ever Indian expatriate to be on the board of directors of companies listed on the Bahrain Bourse.

“Hemant's professional accomplishments are very well known to all in Bahrain,” said Nass Group and Nass Corporation Chairman Sameer Nass.

“Nass Group is proud of his multi-facet stellar attainments. We wish him all the best in his future endeavours.” He added

Mr Joshi is a professional speaker, who is a Gulf champion of public speaking for five consecutive years and an internationally accredited Neuro-linguistic Programming (NLP) trainer. He has conducted several workshops for professionals from various fields, as community service.

His two books, ‘From Survival to Significance: A journey’ and ‘Success at your doorstep: it’s knocking’, have received literary acclaim in the Arabian Gulf and in India.
