In an unprecedented move by a real estate developer,
Golden Gate has opened its doors to architectural and engineering students in
the kingdom of Bahrain to learn firsthand about the different challenges,
technologies and specialized materials that are used in building modern day
iconic structures.
The first institution to take advantage of this initiative
is the University of Bahrain which sent 55 students and faculty members to be
inspired by Golden Gate’s team.
The students were welcomed by Golden Gate executives including
Ms. Eman Al Mannai, VP Sales & Marketing – and proud graduate of the
University of Bahrain. The students were also met by Mr. Ashok Mehta – General
Manager Projects, Mr. Aref Sadeq – Chairman of Aref Sadeq Design Consultants,
Mr. Fadi Habib – Project Director of Al Jameel Construction and senior
architects and engineers at the project site.
Commenting on this historic occasion, Mr. Anas Al
Kooheji, Executive Director of Golden Gate, commented: “At Golden Gate we often
say that the future is Golden, but that goes beyond construction. Our plan is
to nurture the minds that will design, develop and build the structures of the
future. This is a great step forward for all of us and we plan to continue sharing
our knowledge with educational institutions that are dedicated to inspiring its
students”.
Golden Gate places a high priority on CSR initiatives in
hopes to contribute to a better future for the kingdom of Bahrain in line with
His Majesty King Hamad’s vision 2030.
