Azizi Developments, one of the leading private developers in the UAE, said work was moving at a steady pace on Azizi Riviera, the group's flagship project at the Meydan One development near Dubai Water Canal, with the final phase set for completion in the third quarter of 2019.

A Dh12-billion ($3.26 billion) waterfront development, Azizi Riviera, draws its inspiration from the French Riviera waterfront lifestyle and will boast a total of 69 mid-rise buildings, comprising 16,000 units of studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartments.

The architecture will also contain versatile, contemporary elements. Outdoor recreation and proximity to the business hub of Dubai and other leading attractions, including the Meydan One Mall and the Meydan Racecourse, home of the Dubai World Cup - the world’s richest horse race, further contribute to making Azizi Riviera a sound return on investment, said the UAE developer in its statement.

Announcing the project status, Azizi said with the work in full swing at Azizi Riviera, the Phase One and Two will be ready by the first quarter of next year, while Phase 3 and 4 will be completed in the third quarter of 2019.

The basement works are progressing rapidly on the first two phases, said the developer, while land excavation work has already begun on Phase 3.

Group Chairman Mirwais Azizi said: "This represents our flagship project in Dubai – and we are pleased to announce that it is progressing rapidly as planned. We have received tremendous response for both of our mega projects, Azizi Riviera and Azizi Victoria, at the International Property Show in Dubai and Cityscape in Abu Dhabi."

"This further reinforces the strong demand for community-based projects in the UAE," he noted.

A key feature of the Azizi Riviera development is a mega integrated retail district which will consist of high street bridge brands, leisure and entertainment options.

The overall development, on the banks of the Dubai Canal, will also offer access to long paved pedestrian paths and water transport, yachting facilities and a proposed marina, among other attractions.-TradeArabia News Service
