Saudi Arabian Airlines (Saudia) picked up two awards at the Arabian Travel Market (ATM), the Middle East’s largest travel trade event.

The only airline in the running for awards at this year’s ATM, Saudia displayed a brand new stand with innovative features and products, which the independent judging panel selected for ‘Best Stand Personnel.’

Saudia also won the ‘People’s Choice Award’, based on votes by attendees and visitors to the stand.

The independent panel from the ATM exhibition organisers outlined various elements which made Saudia stand out, including overall product knowledge, polite and well-represented, enthusiastic and attentive; good interactivity with guests and cohesion with all team members.

This year was the 25th edition of the ATM, which took place from April 22–25 at the Dubai International Convention Center. The four-day exhibition was attended by dignitaries, members of the travel trade and media.

Saudia welcomed guests from all over the world at its exhibition stand, showcasing new products and services on display, as well as demonstrations from the onboard crew. The service experienced at the Saudia stand is highly reflective of the cabin crew team service onboard, which demonstrates the airline’s natural, warm and genuine hospitality.

The ‘Best Stand Personnel’ award was presented by Jonathan Hull, portfolio head of sales for Reed Travel Exhibitions, to Saudia vice president of marketing and product management, Dr Fahad Aljarboa. A congratulatory event was held, including team members from the airline.

The airline’s stand featured the latest amenities, interactive experiences and aircraft seats in all three classes – Economy, Business and its ‘First Suite’ on display at the show, as well as information about the airline’s new upcoming routes and the new Jeddah airport terminal at King Abdulaziz International Airport. - TradeArabia News Service
