Kleindienst breaks ground on Dubai 5-star underwater resort

Kleindienst Group, a leading real estate and property developer in Dubai, has broken ground on The Floating Venice, the world’s first five-star underwater resort which is coming up at The World Islands, an artificial archipelago of various small islands constructed in the rough shape of a world off Dubai coast, located 4km off the Dubai coast.

Shaped like the famous Italian Piazza San Marco, The Floating Venice, redefines living and recreational spaces beyond the conventional. This magnificent floating resort will consist of 414 bespoke cabins spread over four levels, said the developer.

Kleindienst Group pointed out that 180 of these, as well as the world’s first floating underwater spa and gym, and several food and beverage outlets, would also be underwater, each giving mesmerising views of the surrounding coral-rich seas.

Inspired by the historic water city, The Floating Venice will offer five-star underwater accommodation, dining and boutique retail experiences giving spectacular views of the coral reefs below, as well as at water level from the 24 swimming pools, open sea majlis areas and the passing gondolas, said senior officials while speaking at a ceremony held in the Burj Al Arab to celebrate the launch of The Floating Venice.

It will be an iconic destination in The Heart of Europe - a collection of seven islands (Germany, Netherlands, Sweden, St. Petersburg, Main Europe, Switzerland and Monaco) in the European section of The World Islands - bringing the charm, serenity and culture of Venice to the shores of Dubai, they stated.

Kleindienst Group said there had been an overwhelming response for The Heart of Europe, with the Phase One of the project, comprising Sweden, Germany and St Petersburg Islands and 80 Floating Seahorse Villas fully sold out netting Dh69 million ($18.8 million) in sales for the group.-TradeArabia News Service
