Bahrain's Prime Minister HRH Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has ordered the speedy handover of 500 ready-to-move-in residential units to its beneficiaries under the East Hidd Housing Project and also directed housing ministry officials to speed up the ongoing works at the East Sitra Town development.

The Prime Minister was chairing the regular weekly Cabinet session, which was attended by HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier, at Gudaibiya Palace yesterday (March 11), reported BNA.

HRH Prince Khalifa ordered the housing ministry to increase the share of the villagers in Sitra region in the national housing scheme through implementation of more residential projects, it stated.

The cabinet also lauded the importance of the Bapco refinery’s Modernisation Programme (BMD), whose foundation stone was laid by HRH the Prime Minister, in the presence of HRH the Crown Prince, at a recent ceremony.

The mega project will help consolidate the efforts to develop the oil sector, as well as to increase the kingdom’s revenues and boost oil investments, being a value-added project to the oil industry as it will pave the way for increasing its contributions to the national development march, it added.
