Pace's Kuwait schools project makes it to WAN 2020 awards list

Pace, one of the region's leading architecture and engineering practices based in Kuwait, has announced that its design for Future Schools of Kuwait project has been shortlisted for the 2020 World Architecture News Awards (WAN 2020 Awards), one of the largest architectural and interior awards programmes in the world. 
 
The Kuwaiti project has been nominated in the Future Projects - Education Category.
 
The Pace's architrectural marvel had last year won the Merit Award at the annual American Institute of Architects (AIA) Middle East Conference and Design Awards held in Beirut under the 'Architecture Unbuilt' category. 
 
Commenting on the Kuwait project, the awards jury said: "It marked a critical investigation to the outdated educational platforms in a region desperate for change in the educational model."
 
"Its key highlights were Adaptive and resilient approach to school design, permitting open and creative educational adaptation, while encouraging students and teachers encounters through the well-defined and shaded inclusive outdoors courtyards," they added.-TradeArabia News Service
