GCC to probe 'dumping' of plasticizer products

The GCC standing committee for combating harmful trade practices has decided to launch an investigation into dumping of imported chemical plasticizer products (preparations for cement, tile or concrete) in GCC markets.

Khalifa bin Said Al-Abri, assistant secretary-general for economic and development affairs of GCC Secretariat General, said the decision of the was based on recommendation of the Technical Secretariat Office to Combat Harmful Practices in International Trade, according to a Saudi Press Agency report.

He pointed out that these measures are in accordance with the unified anti-dumping and preventive measures of the GCC states.

The declaration comes within the framework of giving all interested parties the opportunity to defend their interests during the investigation stages, the report said.
