OIL AND GAS NEWS

Enoc Group, a leading integrated international oil and gas player operating across the energy sector value chain, has announced the opening of UAE’s largest Tasjeel Auto Village in the northern emirate of Ras Al Khaimah.

A joint venture between Enoc and Dubai Police, Tasjeel was set up in 1999. Seven years later Tasjeel took over vehicle testing from Sharjah Police, becoming the testing and registration provider in the northern emirate.

Currently, it owns and operates 22 sites and four mobile units in Dubai, Sharjah, Al Dhaid and Kalba.

Spanning an area of over 50,000 sq m, the new Tasjeel RAK Auto Village in Ras Al Khaimah will significantly enhance services for motorists’ vehicle testing and registration needs, said a statement from Enoc.

The new facility was inaugurated by HH Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah today (November 28) in the presence of Brigadier Jamal Al Tair, Director General, General Resources Authority, Saif Humaid Al Falasi, Group CEO of Enoc and other senior officials from both entities.

Designed and built to international best practices in the retail fuel industry, the station also complies with Barjeel, Ras Al Khaimah’s green building regulations. UL Certified double wall tanks and double wall fuel piping is used with secondary containment to safeguard any environmental contamination, said the statement.

The fuel system is fully automated with auto tank gauging and electronic leak detection system and assures maximum allowed and safe flow rate as per NFPA guidelines to reduce refueling time. The dispensers are built with retractable hoses to enable refueling vehicles from both sides, it stated.

The facility also offers full suite of Enoc retail services and offerings; including a service station, Zoom convenience store, AutoPro, carwash, restaurants and F&B (food and beverages) outlets, it added.

Equipped to serve more than 1,000 vehicles daily, Tasjeel RAK Auto Village has eight test bays, with more to be added as demand increases, including bays for motorbikes and fleet customers.

Motorists can complete all procedures related to testing and registration including payment of fines, insurance, renewal and registration.

On the new venture, Al Falasi said: "The opening of our new Tasjeel Rak Auto Village is a testament of our commitment to strengthening our presence in Ras Al Khaimah and the Northern Emirates and to bring our services closer to customers."

"We are confident that the Tasjeel RAK Auto Village will provide a destination to process residents’ vehicle testing and registration and automotive needs, all under one roof, ensuring safety to our community," he added.

The Enoc service station facility includes eight multimedia dispensers, while the Zoom convenience store, equipped with digital displays is set on an area of over 3,000 sq ft and offers a diverse offering of over 7,500 products including organic goods and exclusive imports.

The store also features Pronto serving fresh beverages and delicious snacks. In addition, four restaurants including two drive-through outlets are available at the facility, said Al Falasi.

"Customers can access a wide range of services at the Zoom store, including utility and credit card payments, Salik top-up, and flydubai booking payments. The Auto Village accepts all payment methods including ViP, Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, Google Pay, ENOCPay, credit card and cash," he added.-TradeArabia News Service
